Darlene Ledford

another awesome story from an awesome writer

Lidia

Loved it。 Made me cry throughout。 Heart warming and heart wrenching at the same time。

Cheryl

enjoyable, but definitely predictable。

I thought I had it figured out but she got me in the end。 I felt like a lot of the storyline was kinda cringeworthy, honestly。 KH has evolved as writer over the years。。。 for the better!

This novel reminds me of another book called Love Walked In。 In this story, love is not what you would expect it to be。 It is about family, not necessarily romance。 Lauren is a young girl from a background of neglect。 Despite this, she managed to have the determination to make a life better for herself。 She meets Angie, a woman who has tried to have children and it wasn't meant to be。 Both of them find a way to become important in each other's lives。 Kristin Hannah is always an enjoyable author This novel reminds me of another book called Love Walked In。 In this story, love is not what you would expect it to be。 It is about family, not necessarily romance。 Lauren is a young girl from a background of neglect。 Despite this, she managed to have the determination to make a life better for herself。 She meets Angie, a woman who has tried to have children and it wasn't meant to be。 Both of them find a way to become important in each other's lives。 Kristin Hannah is always an enjoyable author to read, and she did a fantastic job with this story。 。。。more

4。5 - loved this one。 Didn’t really know what it was about, but I always love this author。 Many trigger warnings with this one- infertility, adoption, tons of grief and loss。 Very compelling story。 It funny to me how I always end up reading books related to my career, even when I am not seeking them。

Lauren Gin

Beautiful and touching。 I felt all the feels with this one。 So so good。

I should really know better than to start a Kristin Hannah book just before I should be in bed。 As if I'm not going to stay up and finish it。 I should really know better than to start a Kristin Hannah book just before I should be in bed。 As if I'm not going to stay up and finish it。 。。。more

I simply loved this book。 To read about a family with so much love to share is wonderful。 Kristin Hannah has a way of pulling you into a story that is full of love, pain, pride, forgiveness which is what life is about。 I love how Angie works through all her pain of losing multiple children & can finally find herself coming out of her nightmare。 Then to find a young girl to help and eventually love along with finding her husband again is amazing。 It’s truly a story about real life just a beautifu I simply loved this book。 To read about a family with so much love to share is wonderful。 Kristin Hannah has a way of pulling you into a story that is full of love, pain, pride, forgiveness which is what life is about。 I love how Angie works through all her pain of losing multiple children & can finally find herself coming out of her nightmare。 Then to find a young girl to help and eventually love along with finding her husband again is amazing。 It’s truly a story about real life just a beautiful story。 。。。more

Tak różnie z tymi książkami Hannah jest。 Ta do 150 strony kompletnie mnie nie interesowała, później zrobiło się lepiej, ale nadal tak sobie。 Końcówka fajna

Very good 。 Not as dramatic as the Nightingale But, full of wonderful emotions。

This is an older Kristin Hannah book and it shows in her writing style, but it’s still good。 Her writing abilities have definitely grown through the years。 I’m a Kristin Hannah fan, but I had never read this one, so I picked it up for a holiday feel-good read。 I went on an emotional rollercoaster, mainly because it hit home a couple times and brought back a few memories for me。 I had to put it down, read something else, then pick it up later。 It’s a quick, good read, but not near as good as The This is an older Kristin Hannah book and it shows in her writing style, but it’s still good。 Her writing abilities have definitely grown through the years。 I’m a Kristin Hannah fan, but I had never read this one, so I picked it up for a holiday feel-good read。 I went on an emotional rollercoaster, mainly because it hit home a couple times and brought back a few memories for me。 I had to put it down, read something else, then pick it up later。 It’s a quick, good read, but not near as good as The Nightingale and The Four Winds。 。。。more

I really liked the first half of this book。 It was warm, sweet, and enjoyable。 I was disappointed with the end。 While I understand the authors point in her decision to end it the way she did, the execution felt so unrealistic to me。 It actually left me upset with both Lauren and Angie's decisions。 Its not a bad book, I just wanted it to wrap differently。 I really liked the first half of this book。 It was warm, sweet, and enjoyable。 I was disappointed with the end。 While I understand the authors point in her decision to end it the way she did, the execution felt so unrealistic to me。 It actually left me upset with both Lauren and Angie's decisions。 Its not a bad book, I just wanted it to wrap differently。 。。。more

It was a quick read and very cool to see how much more substantial of an author Kristin Hannah has become since this book。 It kind of threw me that it was set in 2004。 Not sure if it’s because I think of Hannah as a historical fiction writer, I’m misremembering that year, if the details were a little off, or it was just the whiplash of being almost Angie’s age currently but also a 2003 high school grad。 Great story, read it in two days and was emotionally invested。 Not phenomenal writing though。

Very sad

enjoyable, soothing, quick read - great character development。 not a must read。 The topic of bearing a child was central

Loved it!! Warning: Have your tissues ready!!

Love is what MattersOh, all the feels! Love。。。what everyone wants, but sometimes it gets lost or is just out of reach。 This story brings hope and love once the characters let go of fear。A touching, emotional story that I will never forget。

Great depiction of how culture, tradition, and family can bring about change within a small community。

Loved this。 A feel good read。 Somewhat different from Hannah’s usual but just as excellent!
